Honor 7A, Honor 7C Launched in India Today 22 May,2018

Honor 7A and Honor 7C smartphones launched in today at an event the Huawei sub-brand is hosting in New Delhi. The company has in the past days confirmed via social media that the two upcoming models are Honor 7A and Honor 7C. The company is focussing on the camera and style quotients in the teasers for its next smartphones. The Honor launch event is scheduled to start at 11:30am and will be live streamed via Facebook, Twitter, and YouTube. Gadgets 360 had previously reported the two smartphones will be exclusive to Flipkart and that both will be priced under Rs. 10,000.

Honor 7A, Honor 7C price

The Honor 7A was launched in China last month in two variants – both in Aurora Blue, Black, and Platinum, while the Honor 7C made its first appearance in March in two variants with color options, including Red, Black, Gold, and Blue. The 2GB RAM, 3GB storage variant of the Honor 7A is priced at CNY 799 (approximately Rs. 8,500), its 3GB RAM, 32GB variant is available in the Chinese market at CNY 999 (around Rs. 10,600). In contrast, the Honor 7C price in China is set at CNY 899 (approximately Rs. 9,999) for the 3GB RAM, 32GB storage variant, whereas its 4GB RAM, 64GB storage version is available at  Rs 11999

The 3GB RAM variant of the Honor 7A has a dual rear camera setup with 13-megapixel primary CMOS sensor and a 2-megapixel secondary sensor. Its 2GB RAM variant, on the other hand, has a single 13-megapixel CMOS sensor. The rear camera modules of both Honor 7A variants are backed by AI-based features. On the front, the smartphone has an 8-megapixel camera, paired with a soft LED flash.

The Honor 7A has 32GB of onboard storage that is expandable via microSD card (up to 256GB). On the connectivity part, there is Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth v4.2, GPS/ A-GPS, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. The smartphone has a rear-facing fingerprint sensor and comes preloaded with a face unlock feature. Besides, it packs a 3000mAh battery and measures 152.4x73x7.8mm.

Contrary to the Honor 7A, the dual-SIM (Nano) Honor 7C runs EMUI 8.0 on top of Android 8.0 Oreo and features a 5.99-inch HD+ (720×1440 pixels) IPS display with a 2.5D curved glass protection. Under the hood, the handset has an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 450 SoC, coupled with 3GB of RAM. There is a dual rear camera setup that has a 13-megapixel primary sensor and a 2-megapixel secondary sensor, paired with an autofocus lens that has a f/2.2 aperture. On the front, the smartphone has an 8-megapixel sensor with a fixed focus lens sporting a f/2.0 aperture.

The Honor 7C has 32GB and 64GB storage options both expandable via microSD card. In terms of connectivity, the handset has 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth v4.2, GPS/ A-GPS, Micro-USB, FM radio, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. Sensors on board include an accelerometer, ambient light, and a proximity sensor. The smartphone also has a fingerprint sensor on the back. It packs a 3000mAh battery and measures 158.3×76.7×7.8mm.

Honor 7A, Honor 7C price in India, launch offers

The Honor 7A price in India has been set at Rs. 8,999, and it will be available in Black, Blue, and Gold color variants. It will go on sale exclusively via Flipkart from 12 pm IST on May 29. The Honor 7C price in India, on the other hand, starts at Rs. 9,999 for the 3GB RAM, 32GB storage variant, going up to Rs. 11,999 for 4GB RAM, 64GB storage variant. Honor 7C exclusively via Amazon India from 12 pm IST on May 31. Both phones will also be available via the HiHonor online store.

Launch offers include Rs. 2,200 cashback from Reliance Jio, with 50GB additional free data for the Honor 7A,  while the Honor gets 100GB of free data.

The dual-SIM (Nano) Honor 7A runs EMUI 8.0 based on Android 8.0 Oreo, and sports a 5.7-inch HD+ (720×1440 pixels) IPS LCD display with an 18:9 aspect ratio. It is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 SoC coupled with 3GB of RAM.

Honor has brought only a single variant of the Honor 7A in India – foregoing the 2GB RAM variant which also sports a single rear camera setup. Instead, it has brought the 3GB RAM variant to the country, sporting a dual rear camera setup with a primary 13-megapixel sensor and a secondary 2-megapixel sensor. On the front, it bears an 8-megapixel camera with a f/2.2 aperture and a soft selfie light.

On the other hand, the dual-SIM (Nano) Honor 7C runs EMUI 8.0 based on Android 8.0 Oreo, and sports a 5.99-inch HD+ (720×1440 pixels) IPS LCD display with an 18:9 aspect ratio. It is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 450 SoC coupled with 3GB or 4GB of RAM.

The Honor 7C bears the same dual rear camera setup as the Honor 7A, as well as the same front camera complete, however, it has a different aperture at f/2.0. It features 32GB or 64GB of inbuilt storage expandable via microSD card (up to 256GB) with a dedicated slot.

Connectivity options on the Honor 7C as well as sensors match the Honor &A. It too features a fingerprint sensor on the rear panel, and a Face Unlock feature. The Honor 7A measures 158.3×76.7×7.8mm and weighs 164 grams. It is also powered by a 3000mAh battery.

Huawei’s Honor brand if offering some special features for the Honor 7A and Honor 7C, including Huawei Histen’s 3D sound effects. Also new is a Ride Mode, similar to Samsung’s S bike mode. Honor has also included a Party Mode, letting users connect several phones to a single output. The company is also touting Paytm fingerprint single touch access.

Honor 7A will launch on May 22, will be Flipkart exclusive

Huawei-owned Honor brand has scheduled an event on May 22 on India for which the company has already sent the invites. It was earlier speculated that Honor will launch Honor 7A and  Honor 7C smartphones at the event since the invite did not reveal the name of the devices to be unveiled. Now it has been confirmed that the company will be launched Honor 7A at the event.

The company has also been teasing on its official Twitter handle for the past few days regarding its upcoming launch and now it has also been confirmed that the new smartphone will be launched exclusively on Flipkart. The famous e-commerce website is now running a teaser hinting the availability of the device on the platform. Meanwhile, Honor India has confirmed the launch of the Honor 7A in India on Twitter yesterday. The tweet reads “Only 4 days to go!! Get ready to fall head over heels in love with the amazing #Honor7A“.

 

Honor 7A

Alongside, Honor is also said to launch Honor 7C on the same day.  Honor 7C was launched in China earlier this year. The Honor 7C comes in two variants – 3GB RAM with 32GB internal storage priced at 899 Yuan (Rs 9,235 approx.) and 4GB RAM with 64GB internal storage which will cost you 1,299 Yuan (Rs 13,345 approx.).

 

The Honor 7A was also launched in China with a dual camera setup and Android Oreo last month which also had some significant bezels on the top and bottom parts of the phone.  The Honor 7C comes in two variants – 2GB RAM with 32GB internal storage priced at 799 Yuan (Rs 8,250 approx.) and 3GB RAM with 32GB internal storage which will cost you 999 Yuan (Rs 10,315 approx.). The Honor 7A comes in Black Gold and Blue colour options.

Honor 7A features a 5.7-inches with HD+ screen resolution of 720 x 1440 pixels with a 2.5D curved glass on top of it. It is powered by 1.5GHz Octa-Core Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 processor with Adreno 505 GPU.

Honor 7A has 2GB/3GB RAM with 32GB internal storage and expandable memory up to 256GB with microSD. The smartphone has a dual rear camera setup which includes a 13-megapixel primary sensor with LED Flash and a secondary 2-megapixel sensor.  In its front lies an 8-megapixel camera for selfies and video calls with LED flash, f/2.0 aperture. Besides, a fingerprint scanner also lies on its back panel just below the camera setup.

The smartphone runs on Android 8.0 Oreo operating system and has the Huawei Emotion UI 8.0 (EMUI) user interface. It is backed up by a 3000 mAh non-removable battery.  Besides, the smartphone offers Dual SIM, 4G with VoLTE, WiFi (802.11 b/g/n), Bluetooth 4.2, GPS, 3.5mm audio jack and FM Radio. The handset measures 152.4 x 73 x 7.8 mm and weighs around 150 grams.
